UPDATE on the puppy Singer who was beaten and thrown away from 8.25.26.
While we are still learning the severity of her injuries, we wanted to share information as we have it.
Although we may never truly know what happened to baby Singer, we have been told by medical experts that her injuries appear consistent with both stomping and strangulation.
She has a skull fracture. Both of her front legs have multiple fractures. She also has hyphemia (bleeding inside the eye), believed to be associated with the trauma from being choked.
What’s next for puppy Singer:
Normally, when we see dogs with multiple leg fractures, orthopedic surgery is the next step. Unfortunately, because of her extremely young age and location of her fractures that are so close to her growth plates, surgery right now carries significant risks.
For the next month, she will undergo weekly splint changes and continued monitoring as we give her tiny body a chance to heal. A huge thank you goes to her skilled medical foster Sarah T.! ❤️🩹
Even with everything we are doing, there is still a high probability that surgery may ultimately be necessary.

1) Please keep sharing her posts from our Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/TheArrowFund). We believe someone in that area (the boys found her yelping in a recycling bin around S. Jackson St. in the alley by the park) where she was thrown away may have a security camera or may have even seen something! 2) This pup was horribly beaten, and will need longer-term foster care and probable future surgeries. Her medical bills are (and will continue to be) expensive.
