In early March, Heavens and her 9 3-month old puppies were dumped in rural Leslie County. By the time rescuers found her and her weaned puppies, two had been hit by cars and a third had got a paw caught in a trap. The remaining six and Mama Heavens herself were taken to Noah’s Ark Vet clinic, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Heavens is ready for a foster to adopt situation. She has been diagnosed with Lyme disease and Heartworm. She needs time to heal after doing her best as a mom in trying to keep her brood alive.
