He was left confined by some callous, cruel person who thought so little of this intelligent, docile creature’s existence that they left him to die slowly of starvation.
It took almost a year for Halo’s body to get to this state of emaciation with open, seeping pressure wounds. During that year, no one came to his aid. No one fed him. No human spoke up for him.
As horrific as outright physical abuse of an innocent animal is, it is difficult to even imagine the indifference necessary for a human to witness one slowly starve to death.
On September 11th, someone saw this emaciated dog dying of a broken heart. That person got him to our city’s shelter where he was seen by more people who care about him. Recognizing how much more this boy would need just to stabilize his health, animal advocates contacted The Arrow Fund on his behalf.
