More Than Skin and Bones: Posey Chooses Love
When the first photos of Posey landed in our intake box, we were left entirely speechless. It was impossible to understand how any human could allow such a beautiful, innocent soul to deteriorate into little more than a walking skeleton. Looking at the sheer severity of her physical neglect, you might expect her to fear people. Yet, from the exact moment she entered our trauma rescue program, Posey chose love.

Posey is the definition of resilience. She is sweet, incredibly gentle, and walks around proudly carrying her favorite red ball, hoping someone will toss it for her. She hasn’t given up on humanity, she wants to live, and our team is completely determined to give her that second chance.

The Arrow Fund has been hit exceptionally hard with complex medical emergencies recently—from shattered bones to severe starvation cases like this one. Our veterinary diagnostic and treatment expenses are climbing rapidly, and Posey needs extensive, specialized refeeding and medical monitoring to survive. Today, she is finally safe with food, targeted veterinary care, and a community fighting for her life, but we cannot fund this costly rehabilitation journey alone.
