Sparrow
Arrow Fund family, please meet little Sparrow, the cutest kitten who was in desperate need of our help when he was rescued with a badly damaged eye.
A wonderful foster named Liz stepped up to help, and The Arrow Fund took him to our friends at Dogwood Veterinary Clinic for immediate surgery to remove the damaged eye.
This tiny kitten with the fluffy “feathers” of a tiny sparrow in winter may ALWAYS be quite diminutive given his early malnourishment and extreme neglect, but he has the heart of a lion and is not afraid of big dogs at all.
As a matter of fact, this 7-month-old who is only just now up to 2.8lbs. in Arrow Fund foster care, has made his foster’s big dog, named Marsha, his very best friend and cuddle buddy. Sparrow’s one-eyed “wink” makes him appear to be in cahoots with his big dog friend, and they make Liz laugh.
Because of his rough start in life, Sparrow has also suffered with chronic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages), but Dr. Chris at Dogwood has prescribed a steroid and nasal drops to help Sparrow continue to breathe much easier.
Sparrow will be up for adoption soon, and has proven he’s not afraid of cat-friendly dogs if you have a doggie companion who could use an adorable, winking sidekick!
Please apply for Sparrow soon so we have your interest in him and can get in touch!
