Meet Dr. Pepper. This sweet boy was facing a ticking clock at the shelter when an urgent plea for his life popped up on our screens. We took one look at his face and knew we couldn’t turn our backs.

The moment he arrived, he immediately tried to swipe a sip of our team’s soda—proving that despite everything he’s been through, his goofy personality is completely intact. But beneath the sweet charm, Dr. Pepper is dealing with some serious, painful trauma to his front legs that makes it incredibly hard for him to walk.

He has officially started his medical journey, and we are working closely with specialists to figure out the absolute best path forward to get him comfortable. Dr. Pepper has already endured more than his fair share of hardship, but the neglect ends here. Now, it’s our turn to show him what real love, dedicated compassion, and a powerful rescue village can accomplish.
