Update – Tiberius – Hospice
Dr. Scott Rizzo has Tiberius on a new chemo drug . This is the last one we can try . Thus far he is tolerating it well . His blood work is monitored. The tumor is still large but has not grown a lot more . His pain is under control and his appetite is good ! He still enjoys everyday with his Hospice Mama and Daddy . Yes, he still is going on his convertible rides when the weather cooperates ! We do know we are buying time , so every day is a gift with this incredible boy . So his bucket list continues, thanks to Debbe and John Etscorn , his devoted hospice Family . We all love you Tiberius ! ♥️🐾♥️
We fear we have just days left with Tiberius. The new tumor is growing rapidly in spite of trying two separate chemo drugs .He is in Hospice with his foster family Debbe and John Etscorn .
Since coming to The Arrow Fund Tiberius has known nothing but pure love . He has played with his foster sisters . Debbe and John even made a bucket list for Tiberius and they have been checking off adventures and special foods daily. His favorite is riding in the passenger seat with his foster daddy in the sports car ! His other favorite is being cuddled with his foster mama almost constantly, especially lately . He does not want her out of sight .
While this is a hard role , being a Hospice Foster is so rewarding. Tiberius has been and still is very happy . His pain is under control but we do fear we only have days left . We must do right by this incredible boy and not let him suffer . He goes to the Oncologist tomorrow.
We are very proud of our Hospice Program and are honored to give these babies the best until it is time to release them .
Update – Tiberius
Tiberius is now in our Hospice Care Program …. Sadly , a new tumor is growing fast …
Precious Pit Bull who was severely neglected- his whole leg up to the hip was amputated to remove the large tumor seen below . He also had an additional tumor removed and a suspicious lymph node . These were high grade mast cell tumors and have spread . We are now on the 2nd chemo drug . The 1st did not work . Another tumor has formed at the site where we removed the large tumor . Please know we have experts monitoring his case . We will only continue as long as Tiberius still enjoys life . This boy is just one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet . We are all saddened by this news …
No words can describe how sweet Tiberius is . We love him so much ! Our thanks to his hospice fosters Debbe and John Pinkerton who are spoiling this Angel every day !

Sadly , all pathology came back as a high grade 2 mast cell . This includes the lymph node . If only we could have gotten to him sooner … The range to grade these tumors is 1 to 3 . So with a high 2 , we will take him this Tuesday to see Dr. Scott Rizzo , to talk about chemo therapy. We will discuss all options . No words can describe how sweet Tiberius is . We love him so much ! Our thanks to his fosters Debbe and John Pinkerton who are spoiling this Angel every day !
New Case – Tiberius
Male Terrier with huge tumor on back right leg . This is very painful for him .
This sweet boy was in a drop box at the Montgomery County Shelter . Thanks to Holly Cichelli , Cheryl Noggle , Rick Jervis ,and our wonderful transporter Brenda Gabbert !
Tiberius ( which is Capt. James T. Kirk’s middle name on Star Trek ) is a sweet boy
and did not deserve to be neglected like this . We will be doing several tests and stabilizing him over the weekend . He will be on sufficient pain meds . Surgery most likely will be performed on Monday . We are unsure at this point if we can save the leg .
We took Tiberius without a foster home ready for him . We do not have a facility, which is a dream we hope for soon . Please understand we have very few fosters available for larger dogs .
