Breed: shorthair rabbit
It is with great sadness that we tell you that our sweet Sebastian was assisted across Rainbow Bridge today . The fractures to both back legs were very complicated . If there was a way for him to live without suffering , we certainly would have done whatever needed , that simply was not the case . Our heartfelt thank you to Dr. Teresa Gregory for her complete devotion and kindness during this sad time . Sebastian was one of the sweetest babies ever . We sure tried precious boy .
Sebastian was surrounded by love and was told how much we all loved him and will always love him . Thanks to all of you who support us . We do appreciate you all .
With tears in my eyes ,
Incoming- in route now from Hazard , Ky.
We were alerted this morning about this poor bunny who we are naming Sebastian.
Sebastian scooted into a business. One or possibly both back legs broken . He could be a bunny given as an Easter gift , now discarded . Rumors ( not confirmed) have been said that he was swung around by his back legs . We will never know … Bones are protruding from him dragging himself . He weighs 4 pounds. Sebastian makes the 3rd bunny we have assisted.
We are transporting him to Crestwood Animal Hospital to be seen by Dr. Teresa Gregory. We will at that time determine if anything can be done to ensure a quality life for our Sebastian .
The shelter said he is so very sweet .
Our thanks to our transporters Arthur and JoAnn Davidson and to Debbie (Pinkie) and John Etscorn .
