These sweet black labs mix puppies came to The Arrow Fund after being found abandoned in a home without access to food and water for two weeks. After a stay in the veterinary ICU and much love and care in their foster homes, Piper and Phoebe are learning how to do what they were always meant to do: just be puppies.
Piper loves to run laps around the yard, jog with her human (she can keep up with you!), hike in the woods, and kiss anything and everything she walks past. When she wants more affection, she will sit and scoot closer and closer to you until she just flops across you, no matter where you are or what you’re doing.
Both Piper and Phoebe are a little nervous in new situations and look to their people for reassurance. Once they learn a situation is safe, they are outgoing and excited to explore. Both become more and more confident as they investigate the world around them. Ideal families for Phoebe and Piper are those who will offer them loving and patient reassurance when it is needed.
Piper would also do fantastic as a family dog, or thrive with an older adult who is home a lot. Neither puppy would do well as an only dog who is left home alone much of the day. Both are looking for homes where they can continue to just be puppies and grow up with consistency, reassurance, and love.
