Size: 4 lbs
Heaven gained an Arrow Fund Angel today . We are heartbroken to report that baby Parker was assisted to Rainbow Bridge today …
Parker came to us this past weekend unable to walk . We were thrilled that everyday he started walking better . He left the hospital and was thriving with his fosters Cheryl Higdon and Rick Jervis .
At 4:30 am this morning we were alerted by his fosters that Parker suffered a violent seizure while cuddled up with them in bed . He then cried for the 35 minute drive to Blue Pearl . Parker then suffered several more even after being medicated . Due to the severe nature of these seizures and the frequency , it was the advice of many medical professionals that we should assist this baby across the bridge . We could not let this tiny boy suffer like this . Parker was surrounded by so much love , and yes , our hearts were and are broken . As we know yours is as well …
Our thanks to Dr. Mike Robbins for his tender and caring touch and thanks to the staff who fought so hard for our boy . A special thank you to Heike Purdon for her dedication and love .
We do feel honored that we had this baby even if for such a short while …
We loved and still love him so …
We want to thank you for standing by The Arrow Fund in times of sorrow as well as joy .
With a heavy heart and tears , I bid you a goodnight …
We love you Parker forever and always .
Update – Parker
This little puppy is super cute! He was evaluated upon arrival at Blue Pearl, and so far a definite diagnosis has not been made. Parker will need to undergo additional evals and tests.

ON TRANSPORT NOW
NEW CASE – MEET PARKER – 4lbs. and appox. 5 weeks of age
unable to walk properly
We received a call yesterday from Jessamine County , Kentucky .
This baby was surrendered and is unable to walk. Several rescues were contacted . None could take him . We had no fosters . We were asked again this morning because a decision at the shelter had to be made for this poor baby. Having no pre-approved fosters – I made one last chance call. I called Rick Jervis and Cheryl Noggle who already have several dogs of their own and are already fostering for us . They said YES . So Baby Parker is on transport now. The point I am trying to stress is , if we have no pre- approved fosters, we must turn down cases. Parker most likely would have been euthanized today . The shelter could not just keep him in this shape and they have no funds . Fostering literally saves lives . Our foster applications are on our website thearrowfund.org
Parker is going to Blue Pearl and will be fully evaluated .
Our thanks to Mike Parks for transporting this little bundle of cuteness for us . Yes, we named him Parker in honor of Mike Parks who has transported many times for us with no notice. Safe travels Mike and Parker !

We will need a name for this baby boy .
We will report more when this boy has been fully evaluated by the surgical staff . Please keep him close to your heart .
