Breed: pit bull
Orville has been adopted!
We are very happy to announce that Orville has been adopted!
Orville came to us from Louisville Metro Animal Shelter last spring with a gunshot wound to his leg. Unfortunately, the injury was so severe that his leg could not be saved. Thanks to Dr. Becca Hodshon and her surgical team for performing the leg amputation that Orville needed so badly.
Joey, a veterinary technician at Blue Pearl, fell in love with Orville and stepped up to foster him. He immediately felt at home at Joey’s house, and enjoys playing with his human and canine family.
Joey recently decided to adopt Orville. He is a very sweet dog that fits right in, and is a great addition to Joey’s family.
Without fosters, we can’t do what we do. Thank you so much, Joey, for saving Orville’s live by fostering him.

Orville – Update
Orville, the small pit bull that was found with a gun shot wound to his hind leg, is doing great. Due to the severity of the injury, Orville lost his leg. He has been released from Blue Pearl last week and went into his foster home, where he is doing very well. He immediately felt at home and enjoys playing with his foster siblings.
