MILES IS RESTING WELL AFTER HAVING HIS BACK LEG AMPUTATED EARLIER TODAY. MILES CAME TO US YESTERDAY WITH AN INJURY THAT LOOKED LIKE A WIRE SNARE TRAP WOUND. THIS WOUND WAS ALL THE WAY AROUND HIS LEG AND BONE WAS EXPOSED.
(This picture was taken yesterday – he is such a sweet boy !)
Please keep Miles in your thoughts and prayers….
Donations are welcome , if you are able. Please go to www.thearrowfund.org or checks can be mailed to The Arrow Fund P.O. Box 1127 Prospect, Kentucky 40059.
Thanks everyone for supporting us – we need you and we appreciate you…

MEET MILES – OUR NEW ARROW FUND BABY THAT WAS TRANSPORTED FROM ROWAN COUNTY , KY TO LOUISVILLE , KY. IT LOOKS LIKE A WIRE SNARE TRAP WOUND .THE WOUND IS ALL THE WAY AROUND AND BONE IS EXPOSED. HIS FOOT IS BARELY HANGING ON.
IT IS HORRIFIC !
This morning we received a plea to help this boy who was sitting in the shelter in Rowan County , Kentucky. Thanks to Jan giving up her plans for the day ,she drove Miles 2 1/2 hours each way to get him to us ! Upon arrival we were shocked- the pictures sent to us prior did not begin to show the severity of this wound. Through it all Miles wagged his tail. I truly believe these animals know when you are trying to help them…. Miles is heartworm negative – YES ! His bloodwork is consistent with a massive infection . This foot is very swollen and smells of rotting flesh. Miles was immediately put on IV pain meds and IV antibiotics. His temperature upon arrival was 104 degrees.
Thanks to Board Member Thom Ham for being there with me for intake .He is seen in the picture giving Miles a much needed hug and kiss.
The surgeon will see him tomorrow and most likely he will lose his leg. This baby is so sweet, so please keep Miles close to your heart and we will do what we can for this precious innocent.
Please consider a donation , if you are able . Many thanks to those who have already given. We are so thankful. We now have 4 at Blue Pearl and the bills add up so quickly . Plus we have many still under our medical care outside of the hospital as they continue to heal. Donations can be made at www.thearrowfund.org and checks may be mailed to The Arrow Fund P.O. Box 1127 Prospect, Kentucky 40059.
Please remember to share and ask your friends to LIKE The Arrow Fund on Facebook. We can’t do this alone and we need you to stand beside us as we fight for these “forgotten angels” of severe torture, abuse , and neglect.
Peace to you all ~Rebecca~The Arrow Fund~
YES – WITHOUT A FOSTER IN LINE – WE ARE TAKING THIS BOY IN NEED AND HE IS IN PAIN.
ON TRANSPORT NOW – YOUNGER BLACK LAB – LOOKS TO HAVE HAD A WIRE OR SOMETHING THAT HAS LITERALLY CUT INTO HIS BACK LEG . THE WOUND SMELLS OF INFECTION.
WE ARE BRINGING HIM IN WITH NO APPROVED FOSTER . WE ALSO HAVE A CAT WITH NO PRE APPROVED FOSTER – PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE AND FILL OUT A FOSTER APPLICATION. WE SIMPLY CAN’T CONTINUE WITHOUT FOSTERS….
This boy who we have yet to name is being transferred from Moorehead, Ky . Thanks to Jan for doing this transport solo. All we know thus far is that his leg wound is bad and he is unable to walk on it. It smells of infection. He is unaltered and younger. He also is very sweet .
Donations please ! This will be 4 animals that we have at a 24 hour a day emergency hospital. You can do the math – our bills are very high. This does not count all the animals that are in homes that we still have under medical care. Donations can be made at www.thearrowfund.org and checks may be mailed to The Arrow Fund P.O. Box 1127 Prospect, Kentucky 40059 .
We sincerely do appreciate everything you do to support The Arrow Fund ! Please keep this boy and all of our babies close to your heart.
Thank you !
