We are so excited to report that Fitz has been adopted. He is feeling right at home already and is busy being spoiled by his new mommy! He is living the life!
We love happy endings, and your support makes them possible!! Thank you!
There is something very special about Fitz. When you look at him, you feel immediately calmer. He is the perfect dog to come home to after a stressful day, as his peaceful presence is obvious to all who are lucky enough to know him.
Fitz, a 5-6 year old beagle, came to The Arrow Fund after suffering severe neglect. He arrived with demodectic mange, a bacterial skin infection, open wounds, anemia and an eye infection. Today, under the care of his awesome foster mom, Shelly, Fitz’s mange has cleared and he’s blossomed into a sweet boy who loves to sleep under covers and give kisses to his humans.
Fitz will do best in a quiet home to match his peaceful demeanor. He is shy at first, but opens up and loves his person deeply once he gets to know you. Fitz is a fan of naps and basking in the sun. Like any dog, Fitz needs regular exercise, but he’s not a dog that requires long walks to burn energy. A short walk and cuddle-session afterward will do just fine. Fitz also does really well with kids! He would do well in a home as an only dog or with one other dog.

Fitz is now in his wonderful foster home after being discharged from Blue Pearl . He is doing and feeling much better . It will be a slow process and he still tires easily , but he is showing progress. Fitz is soaking up all of the love and kindness from his foster mom Shelly . New Case – meet Fitz
We were contacted late last evening to help this boy . Severe skin issue with open wounds , emaciated, and blood vessel irritation in left eye .
Fitz was originally named Old Fitz because from intake pictures he looked like a senior! But he was just so neglected, he actually is between 1 and 2 years of age . So we will call him Fitz . Fitz saw Dr. Erica Tolar for his eye and will be on meds to help him heal . He also has a derm consult today to determine what treatment plan to take for his severe skin condition. Fitz is also anemic .
Our thanks to Tabitha for reaching out to us and transporting him for us .
This boy is sweet and we are so thankful that we could say yes when asked to help him .
