Our boy Ewok is in Heaven and we are so saddened .
Update -Ewok – 1.52 pound 4 week old baby boy was found unresponsive under a child’s toy truck in a back yard last night . A caring Hillview Police Officer in Bullitt County , Kentucky rushed him to Blue Pearl after The Arrow Fund agreed to help him . Sweet Ewok fought so hard but lost his battle at around 4:23 am . His initial temperature upon arrival was 92 degrees – normal for a puppy is 100 to 103 degrees. He was immediately put in an incubator to raise his body temperature. His blood sugar was low so that was addressed . He started responding and his temperature rose to 97 and at that point they drew some blood . His white cell count was low and antibiotics were added . He continued to improve . His body core temperature even got within normal range . Then suddenly around 4:23 am Ewok went into cardiac and respiratory arrest . CPR was administered but after a short while ,we were advised to assist Baby Ewok over Rainbow Bridge . We did not want this boy to suffer …
This tiny baby deserved better ! Many questions are raised – why was a tiny baby at 4 weeks isolated in a yard ? Where is his mom and siblings ? The Police Officers involved who were so kind , will be looking for answers and other pups . Our sincere appreciation to these wonderful Officers.
While we are heartbroken and we are . We are proud that we tried to save Ewok . We have been up all night fighting for this baby … Please know we are so proud that we can say we did everything we could for Baby Ewok and we loved and will always love him . He is and will always be loved and part of The Arrow Fund Family…
Please also understand – without fosters we must turn down cases . Foster applications are on our website as well . Fosters save lives and we need pre approved fosters to accept new cases .
With a heavy heart – I wish you all a good day . Life is precious – do something amazing for someone or an animal today or for The Arrow Fund …
With tears ,

This tiny puppy is unresponsive and is being transported by a Northern Bullitt County , Kentucky Police Officer to Blue Pearl . This pup was curled up in a back yard under a child’s toy truck . Other officers searched for other puppies or a mom and none were found . This baby is in critical condition .We will need a miracle here .
We want to thank the Hillview Police Department for going above and beyond the call of duty . A special heartfelt thank you to Officer Kyle McCallister for rushing this baby to the Emergency Hospital so that we , The Arrow Fund, can try to help him.
We need donations and fosters . The only way we could say yes was because Terry Bohannon stepped up to foster !
Humanely yours ,
The Arrow Fund
