Remember when our Cam came to us? He had a trap or shearing injury, left untreated, full of infection, and in so much pain.
Enter the good guys! Jeff Allen donated the use of his plane as he has done for us so many times. Mark Powers and his co-pilot Phil flew Cam to safety. Thank you so much guys! Rebecca met the plane, took him to Blue Pearl, and Dr. Patti Sura and the awesome staff at Blue Pearl amputated his leg and got him out of pain. We owe a Thank you to Noelle for helping us with a transport and a huge Thank you to his foster parents Andy and Heike for showing him so much love.
Thanks to your help, Cam is now a happy, healthy little tri-pod who runs faster than most dogs with four legs. His new mommy Deanna and his new sister sib, Sally, have welcomed him with open arms and there has already been some wrestling matches with the two sibs! They love to play and cuddle together!
Welcome Deanna to our Arrow Fund family!
We just love a tail wagging happy ending, don’t you?
Thanks to everyone for your support, we can’t do it without you,
The Arrow Fund
Thank you all for your continued support!

Cam was recently moved from the hospital to his new foster home and is resting comfortably with his brothers and sisters while still maintaining his cute and playful personality. This boy is super sweet and can melt your heart with those eyes. He will be getting his sutures removed this week while still continuing to get plenty of rest in order to properly heal his leg injury.
While he is still learning to adjust with 3 legs he seems to be getting along rather quickly and is eager to play with his foster siblings. We would like to thank his amazing foster parents for taking such great care of this sweet boy while he continues to heal!
CAM’S STORY – Cam was flown into us from Hazard, KY by Pilot Mark Powers and Phil with the use of Jeff Allen’s plane. Cam had suffered a shearing incident, the cause of which is unknown. He was immediately taken to Blue Pearl where his leg need to be amputated and immediately put on pain and IV fluids.
Donations are always needed and much appreciated. If you would like to donate to The Arrow Fund, please visit www.thearrowfund.org or mail a check to PO Box 1127 Prospect KY 40059.
Thank you all for your continued support!

WHAT A SWEETHEART !
Cam came to us in such pain – with a leg injury that was horrid. His amputation surgery went well. He slowly is adjusting to life with three legs. He is doing some regurgitation and that is being monitored and treated. He even was sitting on Dr. Patti Sura’s lap this morning ! He loves getting loved on !
Cam is such a sweet boy! He will be needing a foster home soon ! If interested in becoming a part of our “Foster Family” – please fill out a foster application on our website at www.thearrowfund.org . Being a foster is one of the most important ways you can help us ! Please consider it.
Donations are needed – our medical bills are very high , as you can imagine ! Please donate at www.thearrowfund.org or checks can be mailed to The Arrow Fund P.O. Box 1127 Prospect, Kentucky 40059 .
NEW CASE – WE NAMED THIS BOY CAM – HE WAS FLOWN TO LOUISVILLE TO THE ARROW FUND LATE LAST NIGHT FROM HAZARD , KENTUCKY . AFTER SPEAKING TO THE SURGEON, DR. PATTI SURA ,WE WILL BE AMPUTATING HIS LEG TODAY. THE DAMAGE IS SO GREAT…
The Arrow Fund received a call last night during our Vino, Bark, and Brew event. After seeing pictures we knew this boy needed help now ! We want to thank Jeff Allen for the use of his plane and we would like to thank Pilot Mark Powers and Phil for making a late night flight to bring Cam to safety. These Pilots and their generosity is overwhelming…. we appreciate them so much !
Cam’s injury is not a new one. This baby has been suffering with this injury for a while – the infection and pain must have caused him so much agony. He was quickly put on IV pain meds and IV fluids . His PCV count is very low so he is being monitored in case a blood transfusion is needed.
Cam is such a sweet boy. This injury is a shearing injury – cause unknown. He was never treated for this injury, so neglect is evident.
DONATIONS are needed if you able. Donations can be made at www.thearrowfund.org and checks may be mailed to The Arrow Fund P.O. Box 1127 Prospect, Kentucky 40059.
We will report later on his condition . Please keep Cam close to your heart . Thank you to everyone out there that supports The Arrow Fund. You are appreciated more than you will ever know.
Peace to you all and to all that you love….
