Update – Cabo
2.8 pound pup unable to walk , not visual , and was dumped .
Today Cabo had a digital CT Scan and spinal fluid was pulled for testing . We will need to wait for results .
After her blood transfusion last night her PCV levels came up . She was treated for worms and fleas as well . So she was much brighter clinically but neurologically was about the same . She is still unable to walk on her own and she is still not visual.
She is however eating well . Please keep Cabo close to your heart . We sure hope to see some neurological improvement soon .
Update – Cabo
Cabo is a tiny 5 to 7 month old female pup that was strategically dumped . She is unable to walk , is severely anemic , has internal parasites, is teaming with fleas , has a wound on her back and is not visual.
Cabo is receiving a blood transfusion now !
He PCV (Packed Cell Volume ) fell to 17 .
It is most likely an injury from trauma causing her neurological issues . We need to get her stabilized now . After the blood transfusion is complete she will be put on fluids and antibiotics. She is being wormed and was given cap-star for the fleas . Cabo is in a very critical state and we sure hope we can pull her through . This baby girl is so precious and innocent… It truly is heartbreaking . 💔
Critical Condition- in transit now
5 lb pup with wound on back unable to walk . Gums white . He was strategically dumped .
Headed to Blue Pearl now . We are naming this sweet boy Cabo. Please keep him close to your heart .
Thanks to John Brown and a huge thank you to Laura Mason Helton for literally driving many hours to get this boy .
