Breed: Lab Mix
There is so much to love about Bacchus. First, he has a puppy spirit and charms everyone he meets, including other dogs. Second, he walks with a cute little wiggle that is all his own. Third, he absolutely loves watching birds and squirrels. Fourth, he prefers to sleep with his feet in the air (yes, all four of them!). Fifth, he is happiest when surrounded by as many chew toys as possible. And the list of cute qualities goes on…
Bacchus, a 1.5-year-old small lab mix, arrived at The Arrow Fund with severe injuries to his hips and back legs, likely a result of being hit by a car. Vets estimated that Bacchus lived with those injuries for 3-4 weeks prior to his rescue, which is a true testament to his resilient and hopeful nature. Bacchus underwent physical therapy, and besides his special wiggle, you wouldn’t guess he suffered such severe injuries in the past. Today, he is just as active and capable as any other dog.
Still a puppy, Bacchus loves to play and looks forward to a family that enjoys that part of his personality. He also loves other dogs, and would welcome a family that enjoys dog parks visits or that has other dogs. This little charmer is sure to make his new home a happy one and he definitely deserves that happiness.
New Case – meet Bacchus – Lab mix found on the side of the road in rural Kentucky with injuries that date back 3 to 4 weeks . Both back legs are broken and one of his knees is displaced . Bacchus was in pain and has needed surgical intervention for a long time !
Please watch the video and keep this boy close to your heart . We are hoping phase 1 of surgeries will happen tomorrow-Monday . He is being monitored and is now on proper pain control. We want to thank all involved in alerting and getting Bacchus to us . Thanks also to his transporters Joe and Kay Krug .
Humanely yours ,
The Arrow Fund
